Upon arrival in Rotterdam, you can take in the skyline of the second-largest city of the Netherlands. The city is well-known for its architecture & design, its ports, shipyards and docks. There will be time to visit the Market Hall, where you will find 96 fresh food stalls, and the famous Cube Houses at your own leisure.
Your next stop is in the beautiful city of Delft, where the Dutch master Johannes Vermeer lived. Delft is also known as the Princes’ town, as several members of the Royal family are laid to rest here. Treat yourself to a lunch and explore the historical town with its canals, the Old Church, the New Church and the Town Hall. After, the tour includes a visit to the factory, where Delft Blue pottery is crafted. This handmade pottery has been highly sought-after since the 17th century.
The last stop on this guided day tour is the city of The Hague. The Hague is the seat of the Dutch government, it is the home of the Dutch Royal family, and it is the third largest city in the Netherlands. During your city tour, learn more about its Royal connections. Here, you will also find 150 international organisations and foreign embassies, as well as the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court. This city is also where you can find the Peace Palace, several Royal palaces and the ‘Binnenhof’, where the Dutch government meets. Also, the Mauritshuis with paintings by Vermeer, Rembrandt and Andy Warhol.
