Overview

Join the UNESCO’s Kinderdijk & The Hague Small Group Tour for a memorable day out. Enjoy the beautiful scenery from the comfort of a luxurious mini-van. From your meeting point, it will take approximately 75-minutes to your first stop on this tour: the UNESCO World Heritage Kinderdijk with its 19 authentic windmills. Then, visit the town of The Hague and enjoy an included visit to one of three cultural highlights.

At Kinderdijk you will have the opportunity to visit a working windmill, where you can see an authentic windmill from the inside and learn more about the area and history of this UNESCO World Heritage site. After a 90-minute visit, your tour continues to the city of The Hague. This bustling city is home to some of Europe’s most important political institutions, such as The Netherlands’ seat of government and its Royal family. It is also home to a large number of embassies and international organizations, including the International Court of Justice, The International Criminal Court, and several Royal palaces.

After your city tour, there will be a stop for lunch (not included) before enjoying an included visit to one of the cultural highlights of The Hague. Visit either one of the finest Dutch museums, Mauritshuis Museum or Escher in Het Paleis or visit Madurodam, a beautiful miniature city.

The Mauritshuis Museum is home to some of the best paintings from the Golden Age. Here you will find masterpieces, such as Vermeer’s ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’ and paintings by Rembrandt van Rijn. At Escher in Het Paleis, you can enjoy an included audio tour. This museum is located in a former royal winter palace and is now home to over 120 prints by the famous M.C. Escher. His extraordinary playful prints are a delight for the eye and have been a source of inspiration for mathematicians, filmmakers, and architects worldwide for many years. Or why not visit Madurodam and find out what makes the small country of the Netherlands so great? Explore the miniature city filled with playful activities for kids and discover what makes the Netherlands unique!
